ProGro Bio’s latest innovation in Agri-microbial products comes in the form of Phoenix Microbial Soil Recovery Tool. Today’s agricultural production atmosphere is harsh, and this puts growers in a position of needing to raise a crop in the most practical and cost-effective way possible. The unfortunate truth is that many times the most practical methods are also the most damaging methods. Actions like the burning of stover or the use of a non-selective biopesticide, can have lasting negative effects on soil fertility. These actions often present growers with an unavoidable short-term gain, long-term loss situation in which soil fertility is sacrificed in the name of financial savings and nutrients are applied at higher levels in hopes of producing a viable crop. While we wish the situation was different, ProGro Bio acknowledge these challenges, and we have set out to create a solution.
Phoenix, like ProGro Bio’s cornerstone Rhizol product line, comes to the grower in a fully soluble dry formulation that can be reanimated in water. The product is designed to, through multiple modes of action, restore soils to fertility following events like land-leveling, aggressive tillage, stover burning, or the use of non-selective bio-pesticides or fumigants. Simply put, Phoenix serves as a way for growers to quickly restore fertility to soils that have been rendered infertile by harsh practices with the hopes of producing a better yielding crop in the following season. Phoenix contains 29 different species of microbial organisms that have been selected for their ability to rapidly increase soil fertility when placed in an infertile environment. In addition, Phoenix also comes with humic and fulvic acid which aids in microbial establishment following application, as well as serving as a lasting food source while microbes work to restore soil fertility. With a use rate of only 15 grams per acre and a shelf life of two years, Phoenix continues to hold steadfast to ProGro Bio’s overarching goal of providing products with practicality of usages at the forefront.
