When overhanging branches drop leaves, needles, and twigs that make their way down from the roof to your gutter downspout, let the Downspout Defender outdoor drainage grate stop them in their tracks before they can enter and choke up your drain pipes. The downspout drain grate features a unique design that captures more stormwater runoff than a traditional flat water grate. Made to fit on top of your 12 in. catch basin drain, it's built with an angled grate, with the high end closing the distance the water drops from the downspout, preventing water from splashing against the building wall or ricocheting off the grate surface. The debris that hits the grate automatically slides off the sloped surface and settles into an easy-to-clean shelf.
