DOTDAY SHIELD is a 3.2 oz woven polypropylene weed barrier for garden and raised beds, under mulch and soil, farm rows, nurseries, container pads and greenhouse floors. The flat-tape weave blocks light while letting water, air and nutrients reach the soil. It is UV-stabilized, with 70% of strength retained after 500 hours of UV exposure (ASTM G154); cover promptly with mulch or soil for the longest life. Printed 12 in guide stripes help keep rows straight, and you can plant through it with X-cuts.
Running drip under mulch? Lay SHIELD first.

Install Tips: Clear weeds and rake smooth. Lay the fabric, overlap seams 6 to 12 inches, secure with landscape pins. Run drip on top, then cut small X slits for plants. Cover with 2 to 3 inches of mulch promptly, since UV is the enemy of any polypropylene.
