Protect underground irrigation and sprinkler system components with the 14 X 19 in. Rectangular Standard Series Valve Box and Cover. The black access box is 12 in. high and engineered with 16 structural support ribs for durability. The durable enclosure features the patented Universal Locking Mechanism (ULM) that enables the valve box cover to be secured with a variety of bolts and screws (3/8 to 1/2 in. diameter, minimum 2-1/2 in. length) and without the need for a nut. A speed nut shelf is also built into the box as an alternative way to fasten the cover using the traditional bolt/screw and nut (bolt and nut not included). Built-in pipe holes allow irrigation piping to pass through the wall of the box so that the box does not rest on the pipe. The green overlapping cover prevents dirt and debris from entering the valve box and is marked "IRRIGATION CONTROL VALVE" for content identification. The edge of the cover also indicates where to lift. The irrigation valve box is made of polypropylene (PP) and the lid is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), both treated with UV inhibitors.
