No, these work with gravity to switch zones. When the system shuts on, it will start on that zone. Once that zone is done, the diaphragm inside the unit will move and rotate up. Once the system starts again, it will move to the next zone. It will keep doing this in the same direction.
Timer must be purchased separately.
