That means there is 4 outlets on the bottom of the valve. Each outlet is 1 1/4'' slip connection.
The 3 zones means that only 3 of the 4 outlets on the bottom of the device will be active. 1 of the outlets will be skipped when the CAM rotates to the next zone. 1 outlet will have a sticker on it that says it is not in use. You will need to put a tiny piece of pipe on the bottom of this outlet and then cap it off so you can prevent anything from getting inside the unit.
