The main difference is the faceplate between the two.
The X2 has the more traditional style look to it with your typical xxxx for manual operation. The PHC only come with the new touchscreen faceplate.
Hunter also recommends the PHC in areas if you WiFi is not very strong in that area. The PHC have a little bit stronger connection compared to the X2.
